OTDR Trace module provides users with the ability to pin-point the location of an event or element within a FO network based on a measurements acquired by OTDR device. Furthermore, there is a possibility of integration with third party RFTS (Remote Fiber Testing System) without the need for an additional codding.
The module also includes the tool for calculation of estimated (or real*) optical attenuation with the ability to compare it with the predefined power budget.

While performing these tasks, all relevant pieces of information are taken into account:
- Terrain – every point of infrastructure is "elevated" to its height, i.e. third dimension is added based on a built-in 3D model of terrain
- Slack loop lengths
- Cable/fiber lengths – physical, optical (calculated or manually entered)
- Attenuation in splices, connectors and fibers (default or measured)
Intuitive graphical user interface (GUI) is provided making the tools very easy to use and the results understandable. Any distance (including measured optical lengths) can be measured from any arbitrary point along the fiber (including terminations and splice points) and in any direction (downstream or upstream).
